UL-Certified TPU Jacket Cables for Continuous Flexing & Harsh Industrial Environments
Cable Master manufactures UL-certified Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) jacketed networking cables designed for factory automation, robotics, and outdoor links where conventional PVC jackets fail. Built with polyether-based TPU, these cables resist continuous mechanical friction, industrial oils, and sub-zero temperatures without cracking, hardening, or losing transmission performance.
Technical & Material Specifications
- Operating Temperature: Continuous rating from -40°C to +90°C. Eliminates jacket embrittlement in sub-zero freeze and withstands heat build-up inside machinery enclosures.
- Oil & Chemical Resistance: Resists mineral oils, synthetic lubricants, cutting fluids, and common industrial greases. Prevents outer jacket swelling, softening, and tear degradation.
- Abrasion & Tear Toughness: High mechanical cut-through resistance protects internal twisted pairs against metal chips, sharp equipment edges, and concrete dragging.
- Hydrolysis & Microbe Stability: Polyether base prevents polymer chain degradation in high-humidity outdoor runs and damp plant pits. Resists mold and bacterial growth.
- Dynamic Flex Durability: Engineered for C-track drag chains and repetitive articulation; prevents conductor deformation and outer jacket fatigue.
Target Applications
- Machine Tools & CNC Cells: Direct routing around cutting oil mist, metal turnings, and constant vibration.
- Robotics & Drag Chains: Dynamic links requiring high torsion cycles and continuous linear flex.
- Outdoor & Mobile Equipment: Unprotected outdoor installations subject to UV radiation, wash-downs, and freezing weather.
- Automotive Assembly Plants: Production floors with weld slag exposure and heavy mechanical traffic.
Standards & Environmental Compliance
Compliant with UL safety standards, RoHS, and REACH. The TPU compound contains no plasticizers to leach out over time and produces no halogen acid gases if exposed to flame, protecting nearby sensitive electronics and closed production areas.
